MASTERBOARD® for partitions email   home

MASTERBOARD® partition systems offer many benefits over conventional masonry. For example, in new construction or refurbishments MASTERBOARD® partitions ensure greater flexibility in construction and relocation. Unlike other systems in common usage, MASTERBOARD® partitions are faster to construct, creating in turn reduced delays to follow on trades.

Thanks to weighing in at 20% less than conventional masonry walls, widespread use of MASTERBOARD® partition systems considerably reduce building dead loads. The system is also slimmer and the reduced thickness creates more rentable space which in turn increases rental income potential.

The unique characteristics of autoclaved calcium silicate mean that MASTERBOARD® without special treatment is naturally moisture tolerant. A MASTERBOARD® partition system can therefore be constructed before wet trades are finished and even before the building is weather tight. Wet trades can continue without fear of damaging the partition.

Semi exposed external wall system

MASTERBOARD® is ideal for use in areas which are permanently damp or humid, such as washrooms, kitchens or semi-exposed locations. MASTERBOARD® is a non-combustible material tested to BS 476: Part 4: 1970 standards and can thus be employed in the construction of 30 and 60 minute fire rated partition systems. MASTERBOARD® can also be supplied with tapered edges to facilitate professional quality joint filling where flush fillings are required.
