MASTERCLAD® by Intumex is a versatile building board of semi compressed calcium silicate.
It is reinforced with selected fibres and fillers to resist high impact and weather damage. Unlike many air cured cement products, moisture or condensation will not dissolve
out soluble materials and cause unsightly marks or
efflorescence when MASTERCLAD®
is used in damp or exterior areas. The
board is formulated without asbestos or
other inorganic fibres. MASTERCLAD® is light
grey in colour and has a smooth surface
on both sides. It can be left undecorated or
it can be decorated with paint finishes. |

Alkali resisting primers
are not required. MASTERCLAD® is watertight in accordance with the criteria of BS 4624: 1981 and is fully
weather resistant. It is a material of limited combustibility and can be used in external wall
constructions providing a fire resistance of up to 60 minutes. Its performance will not
degrade with age. MASTERCLAD® is tough, durable, and is able to withstand damage from impact. Mount boards
using nails or screws through holes pre-drilled 1.5mm oversize, not less than 12mm
from the edge of the board. Corner fixings should not be less than 12mm from one edge, and not less than
35mm from the other edge. |

Applications
It is designed for exterior applications yet also
makes an excellent lining material for interiors because of its appealing
finish while resistant to high impact. Its light, economical and low maintenance
profile are an advantage for innovative design constructions.
